After the 1982 Grand Palais, the Luxembourg Museum will organize a grand retrospective of the works of a native of Grenobole, Henri Fantin-Latour (1836-1904).

Renowned for the death landscape and portraits he uses, the artist also designed a number of canvases titled ‘imagination’ inspired by mythology.
This chronological event underscores his career through a series of about sixty key paintings – among which are Hommage à Delacroix and Coin de table – accompanied by drawings, lithography and preparatory studies as well as excerpts from mails.
In light of this beautiful set, one will discover a collection of photographs that have never exhibited, constituting the artist’s inventory forms and further throwing light on his creative process.
