The exhibition brings together major works from international museums and private collections.
These works illustrate the theme of the Bible and the events that have marked the life of Chagall: revolution, war, exile... As well as essential past texts that served as support for large illustrated books: Jean La Fontaine, Gogol... Of the writers or poets that Chagall was a close friend, Blaise Cendrars, Guillaume Apollinaire, André Malraux, Louis Aragon... also say other meetings of exception he did in his time.

Nearly 300 works gathered in Landerneau and illustrate this course outside the norm of Marc Chagall who crossed the 20th century and leaves a present work on all continents and at infinity that gives us a message of freedom.
